About
Show me the Fund is a project that builds bridges between professionals of the audiovisual industry and international funds, sustained by Projeto Paradiso and founded in partnership with Brazilian Content and Cinema do Brasil.
Its main initiative is Mapa de Fundos (Roadmap to financing), an online and intuitive platform that compiles over 100 international funding opportunities for the audiovisual sector. The goal is to facilitate the search for international financing funds, with advanced filters and an exclusive tool to save favorite choices.
Show me the Fund was created in August 2020 amidst the coronavirus crisis and changes in public policies for audiovisual production. The first phase of the project presented a mapping produced exclusively by LatAm cinema, a team of Uruguayan researchers specialized in the audiovisual market, for players of the Brazilian audiovisual industry interested in seeking international resources for various phases of production, from development to distribution.
Originally published in five digital editions, the complete material can now be accessed in the Mapa dos Fundos platform, which is highly interactive and is constantly updated based on new research carried out by Projeto Paradiso. There are also virtual meetings with official representatives of the funds, to answer questions from potential Brazilian and foreign applicants.
In 2021, in an unprecedented and urgent project, Show me the Fund partnered with Sony Pictures Entertainment through the Sony Global Relief Fund, and launched the fund De Volta aos Sets (Back to sets). Its goal was to help independent Brazilian production companies in the filming phase to defray the additional amounts needed in order to comply with sanitary protocols. The fund contributed a total of US$ 400,000 to 100 production companies.
